MISSIONAL PATHWAYS
Mercy and justice should be important to all who are a part of the body of Christ. Therefore, Christians inherently should be missional people. At CrossPointe we believe that there are pathways to mission that serve to edify the body of Christ and take care of the orphans, widows, the sick, and the poor. Therefore we have partnered with the following organizations, both locally and globally, to serve beyond our local church so that people can experience the love of Christ in our local community and in the world around us.
Locally, in Orlando:
Emmanuel Baptist Church. We work weekly on Wednesday nights at EBC to feed and minister to the homeless community off of OBT in downtown Orlando. For more information, contact Brian Sullivan at brian@xpointe.com Covenant House. The Covenant House provides food and various services to homeless youth in the city of Orlando. Contact Libby Nieves, Human Resources & Volunteer Services, 407-736-9003, LNieves@covenanthousefl.org Central Florida Children's Home. The Central Florida Children's Home cares for children while parents are unable to provide for them.
Globally:
Barra Presbyterian Church, Rio de Janerio, Brazil.
In 2007 we took our a mission trip to the slums ("favelas") of Rio de Janerio Brazil to work with Pastor Antonio Carlos Costa. Antonio is also the leader of the Rio de Paz peace movement, aimed at reducing drug-related violence in Brazil.
Brazilian Church Planting Training Center, Campinas, Brazil.
Believing that overseas church planting is most effectively done by nationals, we are investing through coaching, training, assessment, and consulting with pastors who are planting churches throughout Brazil.
Triumphant Children's Home, Guayaquil, Ecuador. This ministry was established in 2005 and is dedicated to blessing abused or abandoned children world wide. We assist needy children in extreme conditions find new hope in the middle of their despair.
